The XXIM Records debut album "Grains of Gold" by Italian composer and producer Ed Carlsen presents epic ambient electronica soundscapes full of gently swaying crescendos. The album was created during the recent lockdown in Hamburg, far from Carlsen's home in Sicily. "Grains of Gold" is the soundtrack to Ed Carlsen's musical refuge during this time in an imaginary place called "Larya". "I think of 'Larya' as representing an ideal state of mind and inner peace - of perfection really. I see my music as not being what I am, but what I want to be," Carlsen says.
