Tania Saleh is one of the rare female singers/songwriters/visual artists in the Arab world and one of the most respected indie artists in the region. Since the early 1990’s, her art mirrors the reality of the Lebanese/Arab social and political turmoil. She has experimented with various music genres, always challenging herself to explore new styles (musically, lyrically and visually), which has resulted in a fresh and original mix of alternative art forms. She revives traditional Lebanese music but also experiments with folk, alternative rock, bossa nova, jazz, classical and most recently electronic music.
