Roland Kaiser (born May 10, 1952 in West Berlin as Ronald Keiler) is a German pop singer. He had his breakthrough in 1980 with the song Santa Maria, which sold 1.2 million times. He had another sales success in 2014 with the duet Why didn't you say no. With over 90 million records sold, Kaiser is one of the most successful interpreters of his genre. He also works as a songwriter for other artists, including Peter Maffay, Milva, Nana Mouskouri and Karat. He is also active as a screenwriter and children's book author (Die Giblinge).
