Info
Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970. Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) and John Deacon (bass). Their earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock.

Released as a companion to the expanded Queen reissues of 2011, the Deep Cuts series digs deep into the classic rock bands albums, culling a collection of overlooked fan favorites. This was somewhat easier to do on the first two volumes, which covered the groups heyday, but Vol. 3 rounds up highlights from 1984-1995, when Queen werent anywhere near their prime. That much is evident on this edition of Deep Cuts, which never raises much beyond the level of 'very solid'. That's enough for an album but not a compilation intended to convince doubting punters there was more to be found than what is usually showcased on hits collections. Although that's not the case here, this still could have some use for the curious Queen fan who doesnt want to go to actual latter-day albums.

Released as a companion to the expanded Queen reissues of 2011, the Deep Cuts series digs deep into the classic rock bands albums, culling a collection of overlooked fan favorites. This 14-track collection covers the groups time as world-conquering superstars, the era when they released News of the World, Jazz, The Game, and Hot Space. Apart from the rampaging 'Sheer Heart Attack', 'Mustapha', 'Spread Your Wings', and maybe 'Dragon Attack', there are no outright classics here, but anybody curious about digging deep into some of Queen's better albums without purchasing the albums outright an admittedly small audience, to be sure should find this useful or at the very least entertaining.

Ever since Freddie Mercury's passing in 1991, fans have seen countless Queen compilations and reissues come their way. And in early 2011, another one arrived, Deep Cuts 1973-1976. As its title suggests, the 14-track compilation is comprised of tunes that were not hits (in other words, don't expect the likes of "Killer Queen," "Bohemian Rhapsody," etc.).

Info
The album was recorded between March 1989 and November 1990. In the spring of 1987, Mercury had been diagnosed with AIDS, although he kept his illness a secret from the public and denied numerous media reports that he was seriously ill. The band and producers were aiming for a November or December release date in order to catch the crucial Christmas market, but Mercury's declining health meant that the release of the album did not take place until February 1991. Stylistically, Innuendo is in some sense a return to Queen's roots, with its harder rock sound, complex musical composition (title track), psychedelic effects ("I'm Going Slightly Mad"), and strong vocals from Mercury ranging over three octaves (F2-A5). Nine months after the album was released, Mercury died of AIDS-derived bronchopneumonia.

Sheer Heart Attack is the third studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 8 November 1974 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Digressing from the progressive themes featured on their first two albums, the album featured more pop-centric and conventional rock tracks and marked a step towards the "classic" Queen sound. It was produced by the band and Roy Thomas Baker and launched Queen to mainstream popularity in the UK and throughout the world.

Info
Queen and Adam Lambert have re-enacted the band's iconic 1985 Live Aid show for Fire Fight Australia benefit concert. The band delivered the same Live Aid setlist at ANZ Stadium, Sydney. Fire Fight Australia is meant to help raise funds for fighting against the bushfires in Australia.
