The producers were wise in their choosing of James Newton Howard to compose the score for P.J. Hogan's big screen rendering of J.M. Barrie's famous children's book Peter Pan. The former Elton John keyboardist's work on M. Night Shyamalan's Sixth Sense and Signs showcased his ability to blend suspense and whimsy, and skillfully paint a scene from a child actor's point of view. For Peter Pan, Howard builds the dreamy world of "Neverland" with harps, choirs, and the occasional keyboard flourish, fleshing out the characters with fairy tale precision, and creating a believable realm in the same fashion that John Williams handled the magical world of Harry Potter. The string motifs he chooses for Wendy and Peter are steeped in the bittersweet confusion of sexual awakening, and the eternally youthful Lost Boys are treated with a light hand, hinting at their enviable immortality. "Howard" goes to great lengths to capture the myth of Peter Pan, never dumbing it down. His is a darker take on a story that has spent years in the hands of cartoonists, and it delivers the tale a much-needed edge.

The 2022 Doctor Who specials are the three additional episodes that follow the programme's thirteenth series. The first special, Eve Of The Daleks, aired on 1 January 2022, the second, Legend of the Sea Devils, aired on 17 April and the third, The Power Of The Doctor on 23 October. They are the final episodes to feature Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor. The specials also star Mandip Gill and John Bishop as the Doctor's travelling companions, Yasmin Khan and Dan Lewis. Chris Chibnall is the showrunner and the writer. All Series 13 episodes, together with the 3 specials, are currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer in the UK.

John Towner Williams (born February 8, 1932) is an American composer, conductor, pianist and trombonist. Regarded by many as the greatest film composer of all time, he has composed some of the most popular, recognizable, and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history in a career spanning over six decades. Williams has won 25 Grammy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, five Academy Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards. With 52 Academy Award nominations, he is the second most-nominated individual, after Walt Disney. In 2005 the American Film Institute selected Williams's score to 1977's Star Wars as the greatest film score of all time. The Library of Congress also entered the Star Wars soundtrack into the National Recording Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
