Homer Steinweiss, the Brooklyn based soul-funk drummer, always had a soft spot for folk music. Paul Spring, a young folk singer traveling the country, always had a falsetto in his back pocket. They met on a farm in Minnesota and enlisted collaborators Joe Harrison and Shannon Wise to create their folk-soul sound.
