Itâs a testament to his range that he can score big commercial projects like the aforementioned, then turn to write an emotional, tension-filled score for Appleâs Octavia Spencer thriller Truth Be Told and the forthcoming WWII thriller The Secrets We Keep. Oscar-nominated producer John Logan recently hired John to score the 1930âs-set Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, which followed a great collaboration with director Michael Almereyda on his Sundance-bound Nikola Tesla biopic starring Ethan Hawke.
