From Al Capone, to the real Peaky Blinders, from The Krays twins to the Queen of Harlem, each episode of Original Gangsters will see the legendary actor Sean Bean take a deep dive through a roguesâ gallery of some of the most notorious criminals in history to separate the fact from the fiction, as we find out what they mean to us today and just why they were the original gangsters.
This episode focuses on the Peaky Blinders. Although the gang is fictional, it is loosely based on a real urban youth gang active in the city from the 1880s to the 1920s. Featuring cinematic re-enactment and expert talking-head interviews to bring these infamous characters to life, like never before.
