Die Marionetz are a German new wave/punk band from Munich, founded in 1978 (under the name "The Marionettes"). After renaming and switching to German lyrics, they became the prototypes and founders of German fun punk, a sub -Scene of punk culture that emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s as an alternative to hardcore punk, which was strongly influenced by political correctness and negative end-time visions at the time.
