Orphaned Land is an Israeli metal band, formed in 1991, that combines Israeli Jewish, Mizrahi, and other West Asian influences. They are considered the pioneers of oriental metal. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, but has retained two of the founding members, Kobi Farhi and Uri Zelcha.
