Schrottgrenze was founded in 1994 by Alex Tsitsigias and Timo Sauer. The group played German-language pop-punk in the 1990s, the one with the 1998 album Super. found its climax. In later years Schrottgrenze changed its style to wavy indie rock and post-punk. Over the years, the group existed in different line-ups and played around 300 concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
