The bakers are hoping for a Hollywood handshake this week as they tackle bread, the steely-eyed judge's speciality. The challenges include a garlic bread signature and a showstopping bread display – not to mention one of the most disastrous technicals in the show's history. Who will be dusting themselves off and hanging up their apron?
In a first for the show, the bakers face a series of challenges chosen by the viewers, including a signature that sees an invasion of familiar faces into the tent. They also face a mystery box in the technical round, before a showstopper in which they unleash their inner fashionistas by serving up wearable bakes.
It's Biscuit Week and there's a trip Stateside for the bakers in the Signature as they make American-style cookies. In the Technical, it's a journey of a different kind as they travel back in time for a nostalgic classic. But nothing is quite as it seems and they must rely on their taste alone to recreate this beloved bake. And in the Showstopper, a visually striking biscuit mosaic tests the bakers’ artistic flair and also gives them the chance to create something that's close to their hearts.
The bunting has been hung and the tent is up, which can only mean one thing - Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding are back to guide a fresh batch of amateur bakers through 10 weeks of challenges set by new judge Nigella Lawson and Bake Off veteran Paul Hollywood. As ever, it all begins with cake week, for which Nigella sets the contestants a stout cake signature, before they get artistic in the technical and serve up a self-portrait showstopper.
Emmett J Scanlan, Mark Wright, Nella Rose, Mutya Buena and Ralf Little take part in the culinary challenge, with guest judge Cherish Finden joining regulars Paul Hollywood, Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond. The contestants make Signature pull-apart savoury rolls and grapple with vegan fruit tarts in the Technical. And for the Showstopper, the celebs recreate their most ridiculous purchase ever.
Hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond and judges Cherish Finden and Paul Hollywood are joined in the tent by Alex Brooker, Ambika Mod, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Vicky Pattison and Sam Thompson. The celebrity bakers must make mini rolls and syrup sponge puddings, and recreate the most iconic outfits they’ve ever worn in choux form
Molly-Mae Hague, Richard Herring, JoJo Siwa and Babatunde Aleshe join hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond and judges Cherish Finden and Paul Hollywood in the tent. The celebrity bakers take on decorated traybakes in the Signature and a tarte tatin Technical, then reveal their most coveted toys from childhood in showstopping biscuits.
Cherish Finden from Bake Off: The Professionals joins Paul Hollywood in judging the celebrity charity challenge. In a returning comedians special, reigning star baker Joe Wilkinson, Roisin Conaty, Rose Matafeo, Judi Love, Tom Davies and Jon Richardson enter the tent. They attempt breakfast pastries and matcha and yuzu biscuits, before recreating the weirdest places that they've ever slept, in cake form.
