In 2019, Swift declared her intention to re-record her first six studio albums, due to the dispute regarding the sale of her master recordings to American businessman Scooter Braun, which he later sold to Shamrock Holdings. In February 2021, she announced the re-recordings of Fearless, titled Fearless (Taylor's Version), as the first in her series of releasing the six re-recorded albums. Fearless (Taylor's Version) expands to 26 tracks, comprising all the songs from Fearless: Platinum Edition, Swift's 2010 soundtrack single "Today Was a Fairytale" from the soundtrack of Valentine's Day (2010), and six new "From the Vault" tracks that did not make the cut on the 2008 record. Fearless (Taylor's Version) is scheduled for release on April 9, 2021.
